This is why Madhuri Dixit worked with Shahrukh in Dil To Pagal Hai

Madhuri Dixit is enjoying the success of her recently released horror comedy film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film also featured Kartik Aaryan, Tripti Dimri and Vidya Balan in lead roles. Recently, Madhuri Dixit recalled the moment when she told Shah Rukh that they should come together for a romantic film after their intense roles in Anjaam and Koyla. This was when the two worked together in Yash Chopra's blockbuster Dil To Pagal Hai.

In fact, in her recent interview, Madhuri Dixit was shown a still from the 1997 hit Koyla, which reminded her of a chase scene with her and King Khan in the film. She said, "I remember we had finished Anjaam before we shot this scene and then the next film was Koyla with Shah Rukh."

Madhuri Dixit said that both the films had her and Shah Rukh playing serious roles, so she suggested to the superstar that they should come together for a romantic film as well. The actress shared, "So I was telling Shah Rukh that we should do a film where we are clean, well dressed, look beautiful and have romantic scenes together. What is this? We are always running around and then Dil To Pagal Hai happened."

Dil To Pagal Hai is a 1997 Indian romantic musical film directed by Yash Chopra. It stars Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, and Karisma Kapoor in the lead roles. This is Shahrukh Khan and Yash Chopra's third film together. They had earlier worked together in Darr (1993) and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995).

Meanwhile, Madhuri Dixit's latest release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has collected over Rs 200 crore at the box office. She is yet to announce her next film. On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in director Sujoy Ghosh's next action-thriller King alongside his daughter Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan.
