Tripti Dimri caught everyone's attention with her acting in films like Bulbul, Kala, and Laila Majnu. However, her role in the action thriller Animal opposite Ranbir Kapoor marked a turning point in her career. The actress is currently preparing for the release of her upcoming film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Meanwhile, the actress revealed that she initially did not think of acting as a potential career option.
'I was never good at studies'- Tripti Dimri
In fact, Tripti Dimri shared during her recent interview that, "I just wanted to do something different. I was never good at studies. I told my parents that I want to try modeling". The actress further said that both her parents were very scared of her decision to move to Mumbai as she was a shy, introvert who never stepped out of Delhi. They were also not happy with her decision to enter modeling or showbiz. Despite their objections, Tripti made her decision and decided to pursue modeling, as she did not want to regret anything later.
When Tripti did not understand acting
Tripti further said that after coming to Mumbai, I started giving auditions on a large scale. After this, I was cast in Poster Boys (2017) along with Bobby Deol, Sunny Deol, and Shreyas Talpade. Due to a lack of knowledge about acting, she could not perform well in the film. Talking about this, Tripti said, "I did not know the meaning of DOP (Director of Photography) or what is a POV (Point-of-View) shot. I could not perform well in it, because I did not know the 'A' of acting."
This is why Tripti used to cry
Tripti Dimri gained widespread recognition for her role of Laila in the 2018 romance drama Laila Majnu, directed by Sajid Ali. Interestingly, she had initially failed to audition for the film but was called back because of her attractive facial features, which are reminiscent of Kashmiris. Talking about this, Tripti said, "Even then, I knew nothing about acting. I would sit in workshops with my directors Sajid Ali and Avinash Tiwari and they would discuss acting, backstories, and characterization. I would just sit there, sad face, not knowing anything. I would go home and cry and think, 'Am I doing the right thing?' because I didn't understand what they were saying or what their language was, but I was so scared. When you are there and don't get anything, you feel like a fool, right? I felt like a fool every day."
Tripti Dimri's Workfront

Currently, the actress is now gearing up for the release of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video with Rajkummar Rao. After this, she also has Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Dhadak 2 in the pipeline.
