Triptii Dimri to Star Opposite Prabhas in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Upcoming Film ‘Spirit’

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Upcoming Film: A major announcement has been made regarding the highly anticipated action drama ‘Spirit’ starring South superstar Prabhas and hit director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Actress Triptii Dimri has officially joined the cast as the female lead. Producer Bhushan Kumar has confirmed the news, generating excitement among fans and the film industry alike.

Triptii to Share Screen Space with Prabhas for the First Time

Triptii Dimri, who was recently lauded for her outstanding performance in ‘Animal’, will be seen sharing the screen with Prabhas for the first time. Known for her impactful roles in ‘Bulbbul’, ‘Qala’, and ‘Animal’, this new role opposite Prabhas is considered a major milestone in her career.

‘Spirit’ is also a special project for Triptii as it reunites her with the ‘Animal’ team — director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, producer Bhushan Kumar, and co-producer Pranay Reddy Vanga. Sharing her excitement on social media, Triptii wrote, “Still can’t believe it… Grateful to be part of this journey. It’s an honor to be part of your vision, Sandeep Sir.”

Deepika Padukone Was Initially Cast in the Lead

Interestingly, Deepika Padukone was initially approached for the lead role in ‘Spirit’, but she had to exit the project due to scheduling issues and contract-related conditions. According to sources, Deepika declined to shoot for more than 6 hours a day and demanded extra pay if the shooting extended beyond 100 days — conditions that didn’t sit well with the filmmakers. Eventually, she stepped away from the project.

‘Spirit’ is being jointly produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures and is being developed as a grand, pan-world release. According to reports, Prabhas will be seen playing a tough yet emotional police officer in the film.

Film in Pre-Production, Expected to Begin Shooting in 2025

The film is currently in its pre-production phase, with shooting expected to begin in 2025. It is scheduled for theatrical release on October 1, 2026. The collaboration between Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga has already generated considerable buzz, and Triptii Dimri’s entry has further heightened interest in the project.
