One of Sunny Deol's biggest films 'Border' is going to have a sequel. Fans are eagerly waiting for this film. Varun Dhawan will be in the lead role along with Sunny Deol in 'Border 2'. Not only this, Sunny Deol himself has tweeted and welcomed Varun Dhawan in the film 'Border 2'.

Let us tell you that on August 23, while sharing the video clip of the film, Sunny wrote in his post, 'Welcome Sepoy Varun Dhawan to the battalion of Border 2.' The video clip begins with old excerpts from the film 'Border', which is shown singing the popular song "Sandese Aate Hain" in the powerful voice of Sonu Nigam. After this, Varun Dhawan's voiceover comes in which he says, "Dushman ki har goli se, Jai Hind bol ke takkarta hun. Jab Dharti Maa bulati hai, sab chhod ke aata hun. Hindustan ka fauji hun main". As soon as these words echo, the message comes on the screen, "Varun Dhawan is welcome to 'Border 2'".

'Border 2' will be released on 23 January 2026 

This will be the first time when Varun Dhawan and Sunny Deol will be seen together. 'Border 2' will be released on 23 January 2026. It is being described as India's biggest war film till date. 'Border 2' is being directed by Anurag Singh, while its producers are Bloomberg Kumar, Krishna Kumar, Japan Stars and Nidhi's assistant.

The film Border completed 27 years

Let us tell you that director JP Dutta's cult classic Border completed 27 years in June 2024. After this Sunny Deol has given a big surprise to the audience by announcing the sequel Border 2. Sunny shared an announcement video on Twitter, in which he said, "27 years ago a soldier had promised that he would come back. To fulfill that promise, to say his salute to the soil of India, he is coming." Sharing the video, the actor wrote, "A soldier is coming again to fulfill his 27-year-old promise". India's biggest war film, Border 2, will be produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta. While it will be directed by Anurag Singh".

The film Border is a 1997 Hindi language blockbuster war film based on the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
