Vicky Kaushal's 'Chhaava': Vicky Kaushal’s much-awaited film ‘Chhaava’, based on the life of the Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, will have a special screening on Thursday, 27th March, at the Balayogi Auditorium in Parliament House, New Delhi. The special screening will be graced by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be in attendance alongside Union Ministers, Members of Parliament, and the film’s entire star cast, including Vicky Kaushal.

It is worth noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already appreciated the film in the past. Last month, during his address at the All India Marathi Literary Conference in New Delhi, PM Modi highlighted the film's importance and mentioned that the story, inspired by a Marathi novel, had touched audiences across the country. He also expressed that Maharashtra and Mumbai have played a key role in elevating both Marathi and Hindi cinema. ‘Chhaava’ has been a hot topic of discussion across the country, especially due to its portrayal of the bravery of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, inspired by Shivaji Sawant's Marathi novel.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, ‘Chhaava’, a period drama, has earned a net collection of ₹586.35 crore in 40 days. The film, starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna, has earned ₹15.70 crore from its Telugu version, with the remaining ₹570.65 crore coming from the Hindi version.

Released on 14th February 2025, ‘Chhaava’ has been well-received by both audiences and critics due to its historical accuracy and emotional storytelling. Its immense success led to the film being made tax-free in Goa, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh.
