Ajay Devgan's 2012 released film 'Son of Sardar' is in the news for its sequel. Currently, the shooting of the film is reportedly going on in London. After Sanjay Dutt's exit from the film, actor Vijay Raaz has also been removed from the film. According to producer Kumar Mangat, Vijay has been removed from the film due to "rude behavior", "lack of cooperation". Not only this, Vijay Raaz claimed that he was removed from the film because he did not say namaste to the film's star Ajay Devgan on the first day. So let's know what the whole matter is.
Because of this Vijay Raaz was out of the film
According to Kumar Mangat Pathak, co-producer of Son of Sardaar 2, Vijay Raaz has been removed due to his behavior on the sets. “Yes, it is true that we have removed Raaz from the film because of his behavior on the sets. He demanded bigger rooms, and vanity vans and also overcharged us for spot boys. His spot boys were paid Rs 20,000 per night, which is more than what some of the big stars get paid. The UK is an expensive place and while shooting, everyone got standard rooms, but he demanded premium suites.”
'The demand for Vijay Raaz increased with time' - Kumar Mangat Pathak
Along with this, the producer also told how Vijay Raaz's demands increased with time. He said, "When we tried to explain the cost scenario to him, he refused to understand and spoke rudely. His answer was always, 'You people approached me, I won't ask for any work from anyone.' We tried to fulfill all his demands, but his behavior kept getting worse. He also started demanding two cars for a staff of three people. After all the discussions, we decided to remove him from the film."
Vijay Raaz presented clarification
However, Vijay Raaz has a different version of events. The actor claims that he was removed not because of misbehavior but because of alleged disrespect. “I reached the location well in advance for the trial. I did not greet Ajay Devgn as he was busy. I kept talking to my friends. Thirty minutes later, Mr. Kumar Mangat came to me and said, ‘Aap film se nikal jaaye, hum aapko nikal rahe hain’. The only misbehavior from my side was that I did not greet Mr. Ajay Devgn. Within 30 minutes of reaching the set, I was removed from the film.”
Producer Kumar Mangat refutes Vijay Raaz's claim
On the other hand, producer Kumar Mangat denied this claim and said that the problem started much before the shooting day. He said, "Ajay Devgan is not a person who waits for people to say namaste. He likes to be surrounded by creative people and he treats everyone with respect. The story of Ajay Devgan being removed because he did not say namaste is false. We have suffered a loss of at least two crores due to the removal of Vijay Raaz from the film and we will not take such a step for small things. Even the other actors stayed in the same category of room, which costs Rs 45,000 per night and it is one of the best hotels. There is no place for unprofessional behavior. It is fortunate that we removed him before the shooting started, as his presence could have created many problems on the set."
Sanjay Mishra will play the character of Vijay Raaz
Kumar Mangat Pathak told that Vijay Raaz's spot boy was involved in a serious incident. That spot boy sexually harassed a female hotel employee under the influence of alcohol. Kumar Mangat Pathak confirmed that the character that Vijay Raaz was playing will now be played by Sanjay Mishra.
