Vikrant Massey starrer 12th Fail is one of the superhit films of the year 2023. 12th Fail, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, won the hearts of both critics and audiences. 12th Fail stars IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha, on whose life the film is based. At the same time, a special screening of Vidhu Vinod Chopra's much-talked-about and acclaimed film '12th Fail' was recently held in the Supreme Court. IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha also attended the screening along with the filmmaker. Not only this, after the screening, an interactive session was organized with judges and other officials of the court.

Justice (CJI) DY Chandrachud said this about the film

Let us tell you that the special screening was attended by Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud, judges, and over 600 officers of the Supreme Court and their families. After the screening, the CJI interacted with the team of the film and further discussed the film and its purpose. During the interaction, Justice Chandrachud said, "While we all seek inspiration, our society thrives on hope, and each of you has provided it. Not just for this evening, but for the entire country. We need stories of real people who have shown exemplary inspiration by rising above their circumstances. These stories should be conveyed to the society at large. I believe that every member of our staff family will be truly inspired to encourage their sons, daughters, and friends, and guide them to take the country to new heights".

Justice CJI DY Chandrachud got emotional after watching the film

Continuing his speech, Chief Justice CJI DY Chandrachud further said, "Such films enable and inspire us to do something better every day for the people around us. I congratulate Vidhu for the way he has brought this real-life story to the screen. Both Vikrant and Medha have done a wonderful job. They have completely absorbed the life and environment of their characters and made it a part of their existence while doing the film. I can feel it. There were many moments in the film when I felt I needed a handkerchief as my eyes were moist. This film gives a strong message of hope. On behalf of the entire staff and my colleagues in the Supreme Court, I would like to thank the team of '12th Fail' for taking out time to spend the evening with us."

Vidhu Vinod Chopra said this about the screening

Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who attended the special screening of the film '12th Fail', said, "It was one of the happiest evenings of my life because I was watching the film sitting next to a person (Dr. Chandrachud) who understood everything I said in the film. He made me feel that spending five years of my life on this film was worthwhile. I am grateful to all the respected judges and members of the Supreme Court who took time out to join us. It was a magical evening".

12th Fail is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language biographical drama film directed, produced and written by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It is based on Anurag Pathak's 2019 eponymous non-fiction book about Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame extreme poverty to become an Indian Police Service officer. The film stars Vikrant Massey as Sharma, alongside Medha Shankar, Anant V Joshi, Anshuman Pushkar and Priyanshu Chatterjee.
