The actor said, "What Namit Malhotra and Nitesh Tiwari are doing is truly taking Indian cinema to the global stage with Ramayan. Ramayan will be India's answer to Hollywood epic films. It helps that they're associated with a company that has won around seven to eight Oscars in VFX and has already created such iconic work. Taking an epic film with true Indian roots, it couldn't get bigger or better than Ramayan, and truly taking it to the global level is what's exciting."

Vivek Oberoi donated his film fees

The actor also revealed that he donated his film fee to a good cause. The actor shared, "I told Namit that I don't want a single penny for this; I want to donate it to a cause I believe in, which is children suffering from cancer. I told him that I want to support you because I love your work and I think it will take Indian cinema to the global stage in a big way."

Shooting of Ramayana is going on

Continuing his point, Vivek Oberoi added, "There's always a debate about whether Ramayana is mythological or historical. We believe it's historical, and it was a great experience working on it. I was very happy and had a lot of fun working with the entire team: Namit, Nitesh, Yash, and Rakul Preet Singh. We still have a few days of shooting left."
