Actress Nargis Fakhri, on the occasion of women's day, opened up on how the portrayal of women has changed over the years in Bollywood films. "The portrayal of women in Bollywood films has evolved significantly over the years, reflecting changing societal norms, cultural shifts, and the influence of global trends. The portrayal has become more nuanced, diverse, and empowering over the years, reflecting the changing dynamics of Indian society and the evolving aspirations of women," she opined.

The actress added, "Women in the industry are getting more screen time, if not full films with only women carrying an entire film on their shoulders. Women are no longer being looked at as just a prop or object of desire. They now have the opportunity to portray more meaningful and intense roles, more realistic roles where stories are being told and where the audiences can connect and relate."

Nargis, who made an impressive debut with Ranbir Kapoor-starrer 'Rockstar', showcased her versatility as an actress with several projects such as 'Azhar', 'Housefull 3' and others. She was last seen in an OTT project, titled 'Tatlubaaz'.
