Yo Yo Honey Singh Drops a Beat at ‘Raid 2’ Song Launch: “Money Money” Unveiled with a Bang

‘Raid 2’ Song Launch: On Tuesday, April 22, the much-anticipated new song "Money Money" from the film Raid 2 was officially launched in Mumbai. The event saw the presence of Bollywood star Ajay Devgn, rapper and singer Yo Yo Honey Singh, and music mogul Bhushan Kumar, among others.

The grand event was graced by the film’s leading actor Ajay Devgn, the song’s composer and performer Honey Singh, and T-Series head and producer Bhushan Kumar. Also in attendance were the film’s producers Abhishek Pathak, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat, and director Raj Kumar Gupta.

Style on Point

At the event, Ajay Devgn kept it classy in a blue T-shirt paired with white pants, while Honey Singh showed up in his signature stylish avatar. Bhushan Kumar opted for a casual look in a checkered shirt and black jeans.

Honey Singh Opens Up About His Experience

Taking the stage, Honey Singh shared his experience of working with Ajay Devgn. He recalled the time he arrived four hours late on the set of their previous collaboration, “Aata Majhi Satakli” from Singham Returns. Laughing, he said, “I was sure Ajay sir was going to yell at me. But he greeted me calmly and with warmth — from that moment, I became an even bigger fan.”

He added that this time, for Raid 2, he made sure to show up on time and improve many of his past habits. “To survive in this industry long-term, you have to learn and evolve,” he said.

Honey Singh also expressed his gratitude to Bhushan Kumar, who, he joked, always asks him to create songs at the last minute. “I composed Aata Majhi Satakli in just 24 hours,” he revealed. “But for Money Money, we had a bit more time. Raj Kumar Gupta, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak even came to Delhi to meet me — that made this project even more special.”

During the event, Honey Singh treated the audience to a few lines from the track, which were met with loud cheers and applause.

Bhushan Kumar Speaks on the Song

T-Series boss Bhushan Kumar spoke about the creative process behind Money Money. “Ever since Lungi Dance, I’ve been after Honey to give us another song with the same energy. And here it is,” he said. “What’s great is that this song wasn’t forcefully added — the film demanded a track like this.”

Ajay Devgn’s Witty Take

When asked which journalist’s home he would like to raid (a fun nod to the film’s theme), Ajay Devgn replied with a grin, “All of them!”

About the Song and the Film

Money Money has been written, composed, and sung by Honey Singh himself. Joining him in the music video is the glamorous Jacqueline Fernandez. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and starring Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, and Vaani Kapoor, Raid 2 is the sequel to the 2018 hit Raid. The film is slated for release in cinemas on May 1, 2025.
