While addressing the media on Thursday, 20 March 2025, Yuzvendra Chahal's lawyer Nitin Kumar Gupta confirmed that the court has ordered divorce, officially ending the leg-spinner's marriage with Dhanashree Verma. Gupta said, "The court has ordered divorce. The court has accepted the joint petition of both the parties. Now both the parties are not husband and wife".

There are also reports that Yuzvendra Chahal has agreed to pay an alimony of Rs 4.75 crore to choreographer Dhanashree Verma. On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Bar & Bench reported that as per the terms of the consent, Chahal has agreed to pay a permanent alimony of Rs 4.75 crore to Dhanashree. Out of this, Rs 2.37 crore has already been given to the choreographer.
