LINKIN PARK SINGER CHESTER BENNINGTON PASSES AWAY By Team Bollyy 21 Jul 2017 | Updated On 21 Jul 2017 07:21 IST in Hollywood New Update Follow Us Share In a shocking turn of events, Linkin Park front man Chester Bennington was found dead at his Los Angeles home on Thursday morning. According to media reports, the singer hung himself and the police responded to a report about a suicide from a residence in the neighbourhood. A post-mortem examination has been initiated to investigate the matter. Formed in 1996, Linkin Park has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide and bagged two Grammy awards. For the 90s generation Linkin Park has been the staple music of sorts. It'd be really hard to find someone who hasn't heard In the End from their debut album Hybrid Theory. It sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and is still one of the highest selling albums of all time. And unarguably, the biggest distinction of Linkin Park was Chester Bennington's gravelling voice. Mike Shinoda, one of Linkin Park's founders and Chester's close friend took to Twitter to speak on behalf of the band and tweeted: Shocked and heartbroken, but it's true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one.— Mike Shinoda (@mikeshinoda) July 20, 2017 Apart from Mike, the biggest names from the music industry expressed their grief on Twitter. Here's what they had to say. "A Thousand Suns" got me through a horribly dark time. I'm indebted. Thank you and RIP Chester Bennington, wish you were here— Joss Whedon (@joss) July 20, 2017 Rest In Peace...my heart goes out to all the family left behind.
