Follow Us Share Bollywood has entertained us with innumerable films of various genres. From typical romantic masala films to comedy, action films, we’ve seen it all. Every year around 1000 films of different genres are released in India. However, apart from those hits, flop and average films, there are many movies created by many filmmakers which were based on bold and sensitive topics like communal riots, terror attacks and about various taboos and stereotypes followed in India. But there are many films that were unreleased or shelved due to various reasons other than censor board. Some of those movies are incomplete and others were completed but still unreleased in India. Here we listed 90's unreleased Bollywood films. This is mostly covered by many Amitabh Bachchan's unreleased films. Yaar Meri Zindagi (1971) Apna Paraya (1972) Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha played on screen for the first time. The film didn’t make it beyond a few scenes and the duo had to wait another four years for Do Anjaane. Gazab (1978) Directed by Manmohan Desai's one of the biggest dream project of 70's. But according to writer Prayaag Raj, the film was not turned into a reality and remained just as an imagination of the filmmaker. Shiva (1978) Amitabh Bachchan and Romesh Sharma featured 70s film is unreleased. Khuda Gawah (1978) Bachchan as a cowboy? The film didn't get beyond a few days but the producer re-used the title in a 1992 film, with Bachchan yet again in the lead role. Sarfarosh (1979) Starring Amitabh Bachchan and directed by Manmohan Desai, the hottest combo of the 1970s. Bachchan played a convict. Also starred Parveen Babi, Rishi Kapoor, Kader Khan and Shakti Kapoor. Chor Mandali (1983) Raj Kapoor, in his last movie, teams up with Ashok Kumar to foil a diamond heist. Was dubbed and completed but its release got stalled by a dispute. Devaa (1987) Two titans, showman Subhash Ghai and Bachchan, came together. After a week's shooting led to a clash of egos, Ghai shelved the dacoit magnum opus and vowed never to make it with another star. Alishaan (1988) The movie was based on Scaramouche. It was derailed after a week's shooting when Bachchan, together with Javed Akhtar, decided to take on the media by working on Main Azad Hoon. Kalinga (1991) Dilip Kumar's directorial debut about an upright judge and his wayward sons is still unfinished. The film figured the perfectionist thespian would take forever to finish the film. Time Machine (1992) Time Machine is an unfinished Bollywood science-fiction film which was in production in 1992 and was directed by Shekhar Kapur. The film's cast included Rekha, Naseeruddin Shah, Aamir Khan, Raveena Tandon, Gulshan Grover and Vijay Anand Deodhar Gandhi (1998) One of an army of post-Ghayal films with a very angry Sunny Deol in the lead. Directed by Guddu Dhanoa, Priyanka Chopra joined the cast later. Ladies Only (1998) Based on Jane Fonda's Nine to Five. Randhir Kapoor plays a lecherous boss whom his female employees conspire to murder. Producer Kamal Haasan has a deadly role of a corpse. Completed but not released as Haasan didn't get the price he wanted. Dus (1996) Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt had begun filming for Mukul S Anand's Dus, about two Indian secret agents who are sent on a mission to Afghanistan to capture the terrorist Nasheman, played by Raveena Tandon.
