‘Lockdown’ did not dampen Jeetendra’s ‘stay-at-home’ simple B’Day celebration

Movie, TV and digital entertainment Empress  Ekta Kapoor and her fabulous family has always believed in ‘the show-must-go-on’ wherever possible. This time on April 7th, despite the on-going ‘quarantine’, and the looming corona health-scare all over,   it seemed to be a ‘valentine’ mood for ( Balaji-Chairman) Jeetendra as he fondly cut his special B’day cake along with his graceful wife Shobha Kapoor, as his star-kids Ekta Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor and their two adorable grandchildren ( Laksshya and Ravie) gazed with joyous glee on their faces.   Thanks to the ‘lockdown’ it was strictly an austere ‘family affair’ stay-at-home celebration ! Curiously enough, no candles were noticed on the B’Day cake ! Which only goes to testify that the ‘Parichay’ hero, is ‘ageless’. Wrote the loving daughter Ekta, “ Happie bday Papa! Ur d most positive person I know! May U stay happy n have long joyous life ! U r a role model for all of us! Loveeee uuuu”.  By sheer coincidence, Jeetendra’s birthday (Apr 7th) also coincides with ‘World Health Day’ . This year,  incidentally marks 25 years completion of Ekta’s hilarious Balaji Telefilms flagship sitcom TV show ‘Hum Paanch’ (1995), which is expected to start its re-run telecast from April 13th on Zee. The laugh-riot show was immensely popular for its freak-out crazy characters played by Bhairavi  (Kajal-bhai) Raichura and Rakhi (Sweety) Vijan. Interestingly besides relatively senior actors Ashok Saraf , Shoma Anand  and Aruna Sangal (‘Mujhe aunty math kaho naa’) , acclaimed Bollywood actress Vidya Balan was also part of the cast.
