India’s leading travel publisher, Lonely Planet Magazine India (A Times Group Publication) hosted the 8th edition of its distinguished annual event; the Lonely Planet Magazine India Travel Awards 2019 presented by EaseMyTrip.com, at The St. Regis Mumbai on Mumbai 7, 2019. The event honoured different destinations in India and across the globe for their outstanding visitor appeal and the experiences they offered.

The coveted awards witnessed attendance from the most notable personalities in the Indian travel industry and the who’s who from Bollywood as well.  Present at the ceremony were renowned names such as Harshavardhan Rane, Asha Bhatt, Mannara Chopra, Madhu Chopra, Adah Sharma, Gurmeet Chaudhary, Anjana Sukhani, Sandeepa Dhar, Anupriya Goenka, Miss Diva 2018 Runner up Roshni Sheoran amongst others.

The ever-smiling versatile Siddharth Kannan hosted the gala awards function. The evening was a fun-filled and entertaining affair with Siddharth Kannan's signature humor and wit. A panel of travel experts nominated destinations, and the readers voted for their preferred Indian and international destinations across categories such as ‘Best Destinations for Relaxation,’ ‘Culture,’ ‘Shopping,’ ‘Wildlife,’ ‘Family Travel,’ ‘Romance,’ ‘Indulgence,’ ‘Adventure,’ and ‘Food and Drink,’ as well as ‘Emerging Destinations’.
