'Aap Jiyo Hazaaron Saal--Happy B'day To You'- Pyare-Bhai" was sung in zestful chorus by the select Guests ( including me) who were present last night at the informal Milan-Dosti-Sargam homely mehfil - Chaitanya Padukone
We were celebrating the 82nd B'Day of legendary Bollywood composer-arranger-conductor Pyarelal Sharma ( of legendary ‘ek-duuje-ke-liye’ Laxmikant Pyarelal musical duo ) on Sept 3rd, at his Bandra residence with the traditional cake-cutting (minus the candles).
Known for his humility and meticulous discipline , the genius composer and piano and violin maestro Pyare-Bhai ( as we fondly call him) and his caring wife Sunila-jee and concerned son Gautam seemed emotionally overjoyed.
Especially when a group of his ardent die-hard gyaani fans led by popular RJ Anirudh Chawla and impresario Anil Bohra recalled and played some of L-P's very rare songs and their khoobi-khaasiyat.
The Guests also included eminent multi-talented singer-artist-painter Bela Sulakhe and veteran star playback singer Shabbir Kumar, PRO Pritam Sharma with singer Krutika Shrivastava.
As soon as Shabbir-bhai walked in, within a few minutes he started singing his famous evergreen song 'Zindagi Har Kadam-- Ek Nayi-Jung Hai' and everyone joined him in chorus.
The lyrical meaningful song written by genius Anand Bakshi-Saab from movie 'Meri Jung' ( 1985) was so appropriate, Considering how all of us fought the health-battle at every step ! When we all stepped out of the 'lockdown' against the deadly attack of COVID-19 ! And then bravely stepped-leaped into year 2022 . Waah Ustad Shabbir-bhai !
The modest ‘living legend’ sangeetkaar Pyare-bhai has always believed in the mantra ‘the-show-must-go-on’ (initiated by showman Raj Kapoor-saab) and that also applies to his series of live L-P overseas concerts and also in India.
Just a few months ago impresario Anil Bohra ( with whom Pyare-bhai has a close family-bonding) had organized a series of grand live Laxmi-Pyare successful concerts in various cities in the US and also a city in Canada,
Enthuses ‘showman’ impresario ( MRL Entertainment) Anil Bohra“ The response from thousands of NRIs was super-zabardast to all the Laxmi-Pyare US and Canada star-studded live concerts.
Soon, we have a grand live concert “Ekk Pyar Ka Naghma Hai’ (with Ashok Kandelkar) lined up on December 9th, 2022 in Mumbai’s Shamukhananda Hall.
Next year in April 2023 ( in collab with Prria Haider Productions and Mehboob Haider) we will be taking the Laxmi-Pyare series of live concerts to various cities in Australia including Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth and of course Sydney.
There will a galaxy of top star-singers performing with lots of musical as well as celebrity surprises (like star-actress-singers like Padmini Kolhapure-Sharma) for the live audiences in all our grand concerts.
In fact we even have some amazing senior musicians performing ‘live’, who had played in the original sound-track recording of those chartbuster songs,” discloses Anil Bohra who is also the main administrator of the Laxmi-Pyare Fans Association which has a massive loyal fan-following.
Jai Ho PYARE-Bhai ki--wishing him good health always and an active creative harmonious life ahead !
