Recently, he attended the inauguration of a massive mural, painted by artist Shabu for his art company House of Creativity.
Luv and his curatorial advisor Abhinit Khanna wanted the mural to focus on the local aspects of Malad, and show its connection and importance to Mumbai, and they are doing exactly that. Talking about the opening, Love said, "This mural is much more than just art. It showcases the community, culture, and history of Malad. It is an inspiration to all of us and reminds us of our rich heritage."
As the opening site of the groundbreaking Bombay Talkies studio, established by Himanshu Rai and Devika Rani in 1934, the area was an important site for the economic and cultural power of the most modern film studios of the time, with all kinds of state-of-the-art equipment imported from Germany. There were tools. We commissioned mural artist, Akhlaq Ahmed, better known in the art world as Shabu, to pay tribute to the organization - Devika Rani and her legacy. The 24,000 ft long mural depicts iconic landmarks like the BMC Headquarters –
a UNESCO heritage building, the Bombay Stock Exchange, the local flora and fauna and of course the spirit of the Koli community of Malad.
