Madhu Sapre - The beauty queen who was brought to limelight by a photoshoot!

Madhu Sapre is celebrating her 51 birthday today. In 1992 She won the crown of Miss India. After winning the title of Miss India, she participated in the Miss Universe pageant and secured third place. She was the strongest contender for the Miss Universe title that year but she could not give the correct answer and had to be the second runner-up.

Madhu Sapre came into limelight in the early 90s when she posed nude for an advertisement with fellow model Milind Soman. In this photo, both of them had a python wrapped around their neck. Her nude shoot had created a huge controversy which drew her a lot of criticism from all sides.

During that time a case of obscenity was registered against both Madhu and Milind but in 2009 they were acquitted of the case. They were also in a live-in relationship but their love did not last long.

Madhu was seen in the 2003 film 'Boom' along with actress Katrina Kaif, Amitabh Bachchan and Gulshan Grover. After this film, she was away from the screen forever. Madhu married Italian businessman Gian Maria in 2001. Now she has been in Italy for a long time and is spending time with her husband and children.
