Madhuri Is All Set To Sway People With Her Voice

The first time I heard a little girl called Madhuri Dixit from a Maharashtrian middle class family sing was when she sang an English song at the Divine Child High School in JB Nagar, Andheri,where she was  well-known as an all-rounder who had mastered Kathak when she was hardly six and performed in plays and took part in sports and elocution competitions. Sr.Genevieve, the principal and all her teachers saw a very bright future for her, but none of them was sure of what she would ultimately be. Some said she could be a good dancer, others said she could be a doctor like her brother(Ajit)and sister(Bharti), but she was more interested in singing, but even though she made it as the number one actress of Hindi films, she never showed any inclination towards singing. But, now after more than thirty-five years Madhuri is turning a professional singer.

Now, Madhuri Dixit-Nene is ready to work her magic behind the mic - exploring her artistic streak further, the actor is turning singer with a pop album and plans to release her first single by the year-end.

Revealing that she has already recorded the songs, Madhuri said, "This is the first time I am exploring singing on a professional level. It has been a while since we were ready with the album. However, due to other commitments, we did not get the time to shoot for the videos. It is important to have a video to go with the song. We will release the first single this year."
