Well known spiritual healer Amiben Modi is well known for her guidance to many well known celebrities in the industry. Her philosophy and guidance have helped thousands to untangle their lives. But when it comes to idolizing, she firmly believes that legendary freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi’s teaching have a lot of value to youngsters.
On this Gandhi Jayanti, remembering the father of the nation, she says, “Gandhi Jayanti marks the celebration of a very charismatic man that Indians had the fortune of living with and understanding. Gandhi’s teachings are not just philosophies, they are principles that need to be practiced to make our lives better and our minds more peaceful.
Some of his teachings, might be more traditional, while some are extremely futuristic.”She also believes that to understand his teachings it is important to understand his journey as an Indian and most importantly as a human being.
“Gandhi is deeply rooted in the Indian history. He is a man of mystery with a brain that is one of a kind. One must understand him as a man and not a godly figure and only then will we be able to do his thinking justice and practice what he preached.
There are a lot things that he said which held value only back then, there are a lot of things which hold water even today. Things like being truthful, understanding what makes us Indians, strength lies in unity and even believing in yourself. Gandhi was a man who made mistakes but was never embarrassed to accept his fault.
He learnt from them and moved on with his life. He accepted that he was human, which is what made him great. That is one of the biggest lessons he could teach," she says.
