Audiences who went to watch a movie at a few theatres this morning were in for a real shocker. A few minutes in, they were spooked to see the screen turn black with a jacketed man calling out their names and reading out their credit card numbers. As an exercise to give the audience a feel of what’s happening in times of digital overpowering, makers of Vikram Bhatt’s directorial Hacked decided to show them a glimpse into issues their film talks about. A woman being monitored by an obsessive man is anyone’s worst nightmare and though newspaper articles give us the gist of this horror, at the theatre people were in for a real shocker, getting they experienced it themselves real-time as they saw themselves on the screen. Not only did it pique their curiosity about the subject, but it also drove home the point of how relevant the story is in times we are living.Presented by Zee Studios, Hacked will release on February 7, 2020.
