Makers unveiled Aishwarya's character as Queen Nandini from Ponniyin Selvan

Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan often makes headlines for her beauty and upcoming movies, she is so beautiful and gorgeous that she also won the Miss World title in 1994. Recently she made headlines for appearing on the red carpet in Cannes Festival and now once our beloved is in the headlines.

As we all know, the actress was making headlines for her upcoming movie Ponniyin Selvan which is helmed by bollywood's one of the greatest and finest directors Mani Ratnam under the banner Lyca Productions.

Let us tell you that, Aishwary's fans are eagerly waiting for this movie because they will get to see Aishwarys on the big screen after a very long time. She was last seen in Fanney Khan which was released in 2018, where she portrayed the character of Baby Singh, movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Divya Dutta and Satish Kaushik in the pivotal roles.

Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan has been in the headlines ever since the movie went on the floors, it was supposed to release in 2021 but due to COVID, the shooting got delayed. Today a few hours back, the makers unveiled Aishwarya's first look from the movie and introduced her character as "Queen Nandini '' to the audience.

Surely Aishwarya Rai's fans have witnessed her royal look in the poster and are definitely going to see her beauty in the movie. During a conversation with Film Companion, Aishwarya also opened up about the movie and called it Mani Ratnam’s dream project.

She said, “When Mani Ratnam came to me he said "You know this is something I wanted to make right at the beginning” and I feel so blessed and privileged that he asked me to be a part of his dream.

Let us tell you that, Ponniyin Selvan: I also known as PS-I, is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language epic period drama film directed and co-produced by Mani Ratnam, under his production studio Madras Talkies, along with Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions.

It is based on Krishnamurthy's 1955 novel Ponniyin Selvan and wil come into two parts. The film is written by Ratnam along with Elango Kumaravel and B. Jeyamohan. Apart from Asihwarya Rai movie also stars South Superstar Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sarath Kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prabhu, Parthiban, and Prakash Raj. Movie is all set to be released on September 30 worldwide.
