<strong>Making a Difference: Helping Hands Foundation Presents Spring/Summer 2023 Fundraiser In Aid of Pediatric Cancer for The Tata Memorial Hospital</strong>

February 1, 2023: The Helping Hands Foundation - a special organisation that focuses on assisting and nourishing children receiving treatment at The Tata Memorial Hospital, organised their Spring Summer Fundraiser on Wednesday, 1st February 2023at the St. Regis, Mumbai . This exhibition  featured a diverse collection of popular fashion and lifestyle brands.  The Tala Memorial Hospital children were present at the lamp lighting ceremony. Mira Kapoor who is a supporter of the Helping Hands Fundraiser was also present.

Through this exhibition, the Helping Hands Foundation will be focusing on raising funds for The Accommodation Project, Emergency Treatment, Prosthetics and The Education Project at The Tata Memorial Hospital-Pediatrics, Mumbai. These initiatives are aimed to provide vital support for children undergoing cancer treatment along with extending support to their families. 

The foundation has recently renovated the Pediatric OPD at Tata Memorial Hospital, which further facilitates in offering free accommodation to over 150 families each month.

The Helping Hands exhibition encourages people to make thoughtful and meaningful purchases from a variety of fashion, lifestyle, and home décor labels such as Pluckk,Summer by Priyanka,Renu Oberoi,  The Wander Ink, Soares, 16 Stitches, Dhaaga & Co, Behind the Seams, Purple Pistachoux, Saadam etc. The proceeds from purchases will go towards supporting children undergoing cancer treatment. 

Furthermore, the Helping Hands Foundation provides young students with an opportunity to raise funds for charitable causes of their choice by participating in and showcasing their entrepreneurial skills, creativity and talent through a special event called “Baby Shark Tank India.” This not only inculcates the value of empathy but also creates an environment of giving back to the community through philanthropic efforts and making a positive impact.

Speaking about creating a difference, Founding & Managing Trustee Madhavi Goenka shares, “At the Helping Hands Foundation, what brings us all together is the shared goal of supporting The Accommodation Project at the Tata Memorial Hospital, which assists and cares for children battling cancer and aid in their recovery. Mira Kapoor who was present at the fundraiser said " I'm  happy to lend my support to the Helping Hands Foundation fundraiser. Their team has been working tirelessly with the Tata Memorial hospital to provide medical treatment for young cancer survivors. They have a wonderful initiative called the Accommodation project, it provides housing for the cancer survivors as well as their parents so that they don't abandon their treatments midway.”

The Helping Hands Foundation via their Spring Summer Exhibition served  as a wonderful opportunity to come together and support a noble cause while shopping for beautiful and unique items with a clear conscience.
