Mammootty’s Magnum Opus ‘Mamangam’ To Release In Hindi

India is known across the globe for its rich culture and thrilling mythology, which has been beautifully shown in stunning cinematic gems in the recent past. The upcoming film Mamangam which stars the legendary actor Mammootty is set to recreate one such story from God’s own city Kerela!The actor who has been winning the hearts of the Indian audiences for years is all set to present the visual extravaganza as the first Malayalam film to be dubbed in Hindi along with Tamil and Telugu versions.  Mamangam will showcase Mammootty as a mysterious character, in a never seen before avatar. The period film will portray a distinct tale and also showcase Kalari, the oldest martial art of the world unlike anything seen on screen before.Talking about the film Mammootty shares, “We are such a diverse country and our languages divide us. But our history shouldn’t be left unknown to others due to the language barrier. Kerala’s history is also India’s history. And I feel cinema is one medium that can break these barriers and connect us. I hope the entire country gets to see and know something that is all of our histories’.

Venu Kunnapilly who is helming the project shares, “We have picked up a true story from 1695 about the legendary ‘Chavers’ who went to kill the Zamorin during Mamangam and hav3 created a visually empowering cinematic experience for everyone to witness. This is Mammootty’s never seen before work and we have a 12-year-old playing a character from history and doing an action like never before in Indian cinema’. Catch a glimpse of Mamangam in the teaser which will digitally launch today! Kavya Film Company presents Mammootty in ‘Mamangam: History of the Brave’. Produced by Venu Kunnapilly and directed by M Padmakumar, the film is set to hit the silver screen on 21st November 2019.
