Manoj Bajpayee and Harman Baweja launch Cineport Cinemas in Gurugram

In an era where the allure of watching movies in traditional cinemas seems to be waning, theater owners are grappling to keep their businesses afloat. The post-pandemic landscape has witnessed a distressing surge in the closure of cinema halls nationwide. However, amidst these challenges, Deepak Kumar Sharma, an enterprising visionary and the owner of Village Groupe, a prominent commercial real estate conglomerate, has taken a bold step forward. Sharma has unveiled Cineport Cinemas, a cutting-edge, four-screen multiplex situated in Newtown Square, sector 95A, New Gurugram.

Remarkably, within a mere 24 months, Cineport Cinemas plans to open over 50 screens, with an ambitious target of doubling that number within the next 12 to 18 months. This rapid expansion will solidify Cineport Cinemas' position as the fastest-growing cinema exhibition chain in the country. In fact, the next six months alone are projected to witness the opening of double the current number of screens. Speaking about the launch of the four-screen multiplex in Gurugram, Deepak Kumar Sharma states, "With Cineport Cinemas, we are poised to revolutionize the cinema viewing experience for our audiences. We are committed to creating innovative engagement models that will captivate audiences like never before. Through our new venture to establish a chain of state-of-the-art cinemas nationwide, we hope to attract large audiences and rekindle the joy of collectively experiencing movies on the big screen."

The launch was attended by Harman Baweja ,Manmohan Shetty, Manish goel, Niharika Raizada and Girish Wankhede. Actor Manoj Bajpayee also came to the launch to promote his upcoming movie “ Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai”. The movie will release cinema hall. He congratulated owners for the great launch. 
During the grand inauguration of Cineport Cinemas, Nishant Gupta expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration, stating, "We are delighted to join forces on our passion project, which has been thoughtfully designed to cater to the tastes of our audiences. Following a glittering press conference at the venue, the state-of-the-art four-screen multiplex treated the attending media personnel to a special screening of the recent blockbuster film 'Zara Hatke, Zara Bachke.'
