MASHOOR ACTION COORDINATOR SHYAM KAUSHAL KA MAANNA HAI KI AAJ KI HEROINE JIGARWALI HAI, NIDAR HAI AUR HAAR NAHI MAANTI

When Shyam Kaushal came to Mumbai more than thirty years ago, the scene was very different and things didn't seem very difficult. They were still making the same kind of films - Ali Peter John

There were the same handful of actors and actresses who did the same kind of films with the same kind of stories, the same kind of music and even the same kind of action which was looked after by ‘masters' like Ravi Khanna and Veeru Devgn, but Shyamji who had come with ideas of his own and who had to even struggle to get people in the industry to accept his ideas and he gradually managed to break with tradition and he was accepted as an action director with a bright future and he worked very hard to establish his own school of action in Hindi films and he was so good at his work that he even made his mark in the South and finally reached Hollywood to work on some prestigious films there.

He never realized that a time would come when actresses or heroines as they were called would also make all out efforts to be as good or even better than the heroes in some films when it came to action.

It is only during the last ten or fifteen years that Shyamji has seen leading actresses take center stage when it came to doing action and superior stunts and creating an impact that would last for a long time.

Shyamji has worked with every leading actor and by now, he has worked with all the leading actresses and according to him,“I never knew that I would be working with actresses in stunt and action scenes, but now that I am working with actresses, I know that I will have to do my best and I'm not going to spare any pains to get the best out of these wonderful women who have the fire in them to show that they are no longer the delicate women they were and that they are willing to go to any length to excel in the difficult scenes that they have to do, sometimes at great risk and even risks to their lives.

But I must salute them for putting their lives into the action they do. I have worked with actresses like Priyanka Chopra with whom I have done the maximum number of films, Katrina, Deepika, Alia and the whole modern girls of today. And I must not forget Sonakshi Sinha with whom I have worked with in “Tevar".

I cannot say who is better or the best, but I can certainly say that they all work with the same passion as they do when doing emotional scenes or dance sequences when they are doing their action scenes.

I'm not flattering any of them, I don't have to, but I know that they are all going to do very well in the near future and their action scenes is going to be one of the prime factors responsible for their success."

The way some of the actresses today are focusing on action is going to lead many other young actresses to take greater interest in action as they know and the industry knows that in action lies the future of not only Indian films, but international films.
