Mayank Gandhi Says Being Part Of ACB Is Like Home Coming For Him

Mayank Gandhi talks to JYOTHI VENKATESH about being part of the Actors Cricket Bash. The actor says that the game has always been of prime importance to him.

Actors Cricket Bash is the newest cricket league. How do you feel being part of it as it is original cricket with actual cricket kit?

It’s like home coming. Dilip Agarwal and I have a great bond and would support him in all his endeavours. Plus, I love cricket so couldn’t be a better combination.

 ACB will only have men as cricket players so will the competition streak be more?

Where there is cricket, there has to be competition. Being a sportsman as well, I am looking forward to some healthy competition.

What do you think of cricket which is religion in India

Cricket is my first love and I try and be part of the game whenever I get the opportunity.

Which is your favourite Test matches, One day or T20 matches?

The World Cup final in 2011 which we won and also was last World Cup. The man of the match was Sir Sachin Tendulkar and I witnessed that at the ground.

This year Cricket World Cup is also coming what are the chances of India this time?

Cricket in India is a religion. We will surely give a tough fight.

How you are preparing for ACB?

I’ll be practicing hard to give tough competition to my opponents.

Who is your favourite cricketer and why?

Sir Sachin Tendulkar because he is the God of Cricket and I worship him.

What are your expectations from Actors Cricket Bash?

I feel that this is a great initiative to meet fellow actors from the fraternity. I hope that this league continues for many years to come.
