Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi is certainly one of the most anticipated movies of 2019. However, the going has been full of challenges for this movie from the moment go. First the leading lady of the movie Kangana Ranuat injured herself and had to shoot despite the stitches. In addition, to this director Krish had to step out of the movie because he had other commitments.
In a recent interview Kangana Ranaut was asked about these challenges and how she managed to pull through in such tough circumstances. She talked about how she had to take up the direction in her own hands in order to make sure that Manikarnika gets completed in stipulated time.

Manikarnika, which also has Ranaut making her debut as a director, is the biopic of Rani Laxmibai – Jhansi ki Rani. It also stars Ankita Lokhande, Jisshu Sengupta Atul Kulkarni, Mishti Chakraborty, Danny Denzongpa and Suresh Oberoi in pivotal roles. Its script has been penned by Vijayendra Prasad, of Baahubali fame, while the dialogues have been written by Prasoon Joshi. Manikarnika is produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti and will be releasing on January 25.
