Meera Deosthale, who will be seen in Mahesh Pandey’s show Vidya, says that she is thrilled to be part of the project. The actor adds that her role is very different, which is what attracted her to the show. “The uniqueness about this character is her innocence, the simplicity and the storyline of the show is the most attractive part of the show because nowadays there are very few shows which have a message, drama as well as entertainment,” she says.Talking about how she prepared for the role, she says, “Preparation for the role was as such that we used to do a lot of readings. I saw a few movies like Mother India. Basically, the movies which have a girl or a lady with a lot of innocence. And as Vidya is a widow, so I just thought about how would a person like her be and feel. I really did not have to work on my lingo and dialogues because in my last show Udaan, I was a village girl and it was UP-based. So, I basically, I had am idea of how a show with a UP backdrop is like.”
The actor loved working with writer-producer Mahesh Pandey. “I have worked with Mahesh ji before. He was the writer for some time in Udaan. So, I know how he functions. It was amazing to work with him as he used to be on the sets almost every day. His inputs were always there and he used to always give feedback. He made sure that every character looks unique and becomes grand,” she says.Talking about who she bonds most with on the set, Meera says, “On the sets of Vidya, I share a great equation with everyone actually. My relationship with the technical team, the director, Sangeeta Rao Ji is especially great. She is a fabulous director. I have not really shot with everyone a lot as I have been doing solo scenes only. I bond with my ' Gai ka Bachda (Calf)' who is called Gauri.”
