Mega-Star Chiranjeevi Plays ‘Host’ To ‘Super-50’ Actors Including Poonam Dhillon, Jackie & Jayaprada At 10th ‘Reunion’ Party

In what resembled  a   Southside regional star-studded Film Awards Night, a galaxy of  nearly 50  top-ranking actors including superstars  from Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and some from Hindi-Bollywood  came together at Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi-gaaru’s  spacious house in Hyderabad. It was the 10^th anniversary  of their annual 80’s ‘reunion’ .

While Bollywood was represented by Poonam Dhillon, Jackie Shroff and Jayaprada  (also a Southside regional top-actress) and partially by acclaimed South star-actress Khushboo  ( she initially acted in the ‘80s in Hindi movies like ‘Dard Ka Rishta’ , ‘Jaanoo ‘ and ‘Tan Badan’) . Besides celeb-host Chiranjeevi himself, the tenth reunion grand anniversary all-night-long party  turn-out included  Mohanlal, Nagarjuna with actress-wife Amala, Venkatesh, Sharath Kumar, Ram Charan, Suman, Suresh, K. Bhagyaraj, Jagapathi Babu, Prabhu, Rahman, Radhikaa, Suhasini Maniratnam,  Revathi, Shobhana, Nadiya, Bhanuchandar, Raadha, Menaka, Saritha, Jayasudha, Sumalatha, Lissy, Aravind and Ambika .

This year the theme and dress-code was ‘Black and Gold’ and the event was co-ordinated by Suhasini.  Enthused an ecstatic  Poonam,  “What a wonderful experience of comradeship, love, joy & friendship!! Truly a memorable emotional evening to cherish. None of us were stars or actors, just friendly colleagues. Many of the guests came out-of-their way from various parts of South India and even from distant foreign locations. While almost everyone was on nostalgic , sentimental trips , we also had  loads of masti-mazaak-music and fabulous food . Ultimately we left Chiranjeevi’s house early morning after having breakfast,”  reveals the evergreen affable Poonam Dhillon. Will today’s super-fast young filmy-celebs  where some are known for their egoistic one-upmanship and commercial attitudes be able to ever annually celebrate such ‘genuine’ ‘reunions glittering with emotional mutual camaraderie------ is what one wonders ?
