True , there were times when some singers who couldn't make it spoke against her and some even called her names in the 60s and 70s and blamed her for their failure, like Sharada and Sulakshana Pandit and her sisters , but what they said about her and her sisters like Asha Bhosle and Usha Mangeshkar could not make any impact .

It is more than sixty years now , but Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar continues to be held in the highest esteem and is respected and all fields of life. Here are some opinions about the nightingale from people high and low .....
