Miss Bulgaria 2019 Margo Cooper: I would like to see myself as a superhero

Miss Bulgaria 2019 Margo Cooper is now determined to make it big in the Hindi film industry! From taking dance, fitness as well as Hindi classes to creating a wish list for herself, Margo has taken part in the running. She says that Bollywood always fascinated her - Jyothi Venkatesh

“I love Bollywood movies since childhood, I always enjoyed the dancing part the most and I loved the dramatic scripts of old classic Bollywood movies. This is how I started dreaming of coming to India at a young age.

And now that I am here, I think following childhood dreams is something wonderful. These dreams are what you really wanted to do before society and the environment imposed rules on you,” she says.

Talking about being a part of the film industry, she says, “The best thing is to be able to live many lives in one, to be someone else for a while. And there's no limit to the characters you can play.

What I dislike is that you never know when and what the next project is coming up and whether people will like your work or not.

This work is not only about creativity and art but it is about conveying certain feelings, thoughts, awareness and feelings to the audience. We work for the public and they are the most important people in the industry."

As far as roles are concerned, Margo has a few genres in mind. “I think I am a perfect fit for action films and romantic films.

On one hand, I am very strong and athletic, but on the other, my face is mostly suited for love stories. I see myself as a superhero. Wish we needed it in Bollywood!” she says.

Ask her if she's worried about being stereotyped here, and she says, "I think everyone is different and everyone has a different background.

Will stereotype you anyway. But there's nothing wrong with that. It's not easy being foreigner in such a competitive industry and starting from scratch here. You need to find your own way.
