India’s only award show by the kids, for the kids and of the kids –Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2019 are honored the best in the world of Entertainment across film and television. The star-studded evening which took place on December 20th 2019 at Mumbai saw the best and biggest of both Bollywood and Television personalities like Sara Ali Khan , Sidhant Chaturvedi, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Varun Sharma, Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, Bhavya Gandhi and many others, amongst others walk the much talked about ‘Orange Carpet’. Apart from the celebrities, Managing Director of the Mayapuri Group, Aman Bajaj and Cartoonist of Lotpot magazine- Mr Harvinder Makkar was also present along with Nina Elavia Jaipuria, Business Head – Kids’ Entertainment, Viacom18 and Anu Sikka – Executive VP- Programming, content at Viacom 18. The starry evening captured everyone’s imagination through extraordinary performances and magical moments that will be etched in everyone’s mind for a long time. The show will telecast on TV on the Nickelodeon channel on 5th of January, 2020.
With nearly 5 lakh votes, the kids have truly chosen their favorites. Chhichhore won in the Best Film category while Salman Khan won the Best Actor (Male) Award. Shraddha Kapoor won the Best Actress (Female) award and Ve Maahi - Kesari, the song that had the entire country grooving to its tunes was voted as the Best Song by kids. The much adored Tiger Shroff was voted by kids as The Dancing Star and the Best Entertainer of the Year award went to Kartik Aaryan.. Motu won the Best Indian Cartoon Character of the year award. Not only this, Motu Patlu has been proving themselves in Pakistan as well as with a recent study, it shows that according to a report in Google, Motu Patlu was the 8th most searched on google in Pakistan.
Also, recently, The world famous wax attraction, Madame Tussauds presented figures of Motu and Patlu, the animated cartoon characters at its Delhi attraction. Motu Patlu is currently India's #1 animated television series airing on Nickelodeon. These characters originated from the Lotpot Magazine, which was founded by Late Shri A.P. Bajaj and recently the magazine celebrated its fifty years of working. Currently the group is being managed and run by his son P.K. Bajaj and his grandson Aman Bajaj.
