Edge of the seat fare!
Dr.Suman Asthana (Divya Dutta) is worried stiff that her husband Anil Asthana (Dr Mohan Agashe) has been missing for 11 days. While the Investigating officer DCP Shekhawat (Atul Kulkarni) is trying to crack this case, a psychic child patient reveals the whereabouts of Dr. Anil and opens the doors of untold secrets which threaten to turn upside their lives.
Though you go to the theater to watch the movie without any idea of what exactly is in store for you as a viewer, the director to his credit jostles you out of your slumber with his wizardry over his craft as a writer taking you through cobwebs of suspense and horror combined in equal measure.
While Divya Dutta is excellent as the worried wife who is the CEO of the hospital owned by her husband, Atul Kulkarni as the investigating cop who is deputed to look into the disappearance of her husband Anil Asthana proves that he is an actor beyond compare by tackling little nuances attached to his character with effortless ease. Raayo S Bakirta plays his character as the besotted young lover boy of Dr Suman effectively while the child actor Yashvit Sancheti lends his character enough of gravity
Music by Aniket Khandekar is exemplary with one song lingering in your mind long after you walk out of the theatre while Amar Mohile also does proper justice to his task as the composer of the background music track for the film. To sum up, 706 is a paranatural cum suspense film which will keep you on the edge of your seat in the theatre without boring you to death. It is a pity that due to the fact that as many as 11 films in different languages are being released this week, the footfalls for this kind of out of the box subject oriented films will be very less. Nevertheless do go and see this film.
