Rizwan Ahmed (Rohan Mehra) leaves Allahabad behind and with it, the small-town mentality, too and moves to Mumbai, a city with soaring skyscrapers and dreams that fly even higher, in search of higher prospects. His idol is Shakun Kothari (Saif Ali Khan), but the greedy and manipulative world of money, power and the stock market draws Rizwan faster. The highlight as well as the minus point of the film is that it uses plenty of stock market jargon and showcases complex ideas like insider trading and financial manipulation with ease. Kudos to the director for having made an edgy story in completely new settings in a Hindi film. The movie , though it reminds of the 2013 movie The Wolf of Wall Street, is novel for movie buffs.

The dialogues are well-written and a few hard-hitting ones, leave their mark. The characters are well-etched and justify their actions seamlessly. As far as performances go, Saif as the ruthless Gujarati manipulator Shakun Kothari, the suave, but scheming stock market veteran, fits the character perfectly, and adds nuances to his performance, making it credible, though he is not outstanding. While Radhika Apte impresses, Chitrangda Singh has hardly any role but for the climax. Debutant Rohan, as Rizwan Ahmed the "boy with a small town mentality" is the surprise packet of the film and performs naturally. Though his character lacks the charisma of a star, he makes up with his impressive acting skills.

Though the first half of the film drags without any real inciting moments, merely establishing the characters -- throwing light on Rizwan's determination to make it big in Mumbai, as well as, Shakun's manipulative and clever mind and his ability to turn any situation in his favour, it is the second half that makes you remain glued to your seat with its gripping and edgy screenplay.
