Atlee, the famous film director of South India, has an identity of his own. He has some typical scenes in each of his films. Similarly, in his Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu films "Jawan" too, he starts the film with the scene that tells his identity. When a man is found badly injured by the people living on the river bank, they treat him, but he falls into a coma. When calamity befalls those people, only then he wakes up from a coma and after destroying the enemies with his bravery, says to those people - "Who am I?” Then a child says - "After I grow up, I will find out about this and tell you." 'After that, the story starts after thirty years. By the way, if the name of this film was 'Jai Jawan Jai Kisan' instead of 'Jawan', it would have been more appropriate. By the way, Atlee has made a poor copy of films made on similar subjects in Hindi earlier.

Story:

A five-year-old boy is raised in a women's prison by Jailor Kaveri Maa, who has adopted him. That child has grown up in the same jail and now the jailer is free. There are six thousand girls and women in this women's jail. The jailer makes six girls in captivity in this prison as a part of his team, along with providing justice to them, he does the work of rectifying social problems and the system by becoming Robinhood. First of all, he hijacks the metro train and repays the loan of 40,000 farmers. The second time he acquits Dr. Iram, who was wrongly convicted by the country's minister and the dean of the hospital. Special Forces police officer Narmada is desperate to catch Robinhood. But after the interval, the story unfolds in such a way that it is revealed that the person who was found injured in the story thirty years ago, is Azad's father and former army officer Vikram Singh Rathod, who was given substandard weapons by the arms dealer Kali Gaikwad. With the help of the minister, Vikram Singh Rathore was declared a traitor and thrown to death, it is a different matter that he did not die. Azadi's mother Aishwarya was also hanged on false charges. Azad was born inside the jail. In a way, Azad has adopted a method only to prove his father is a patriot. But after the interval, the story continues on many levels. On the other hand, at the behest of daughter Suji, Narmada marries jailer Azad. After getting married, Narmada learns that the Robinhood she is looking for is the jailer Azad. Then the story passes through many turns. In this, from taking possession of Kali Gaikwad's tank full of notes to taking possession of the electronic machines used in elections, Azad also addresses the people of the country, in which he tells everyone that the leaders whom he doesn't question those who vote for them.

Review:

Atlee chose the story well, but the script is very absurd and the story seems completely scattered. Only fifteen minutes after the beginning of the film, one realizes that the writer and director have created the story by copying Rensil D'Silva's film released in 2014. But one must have the intelligence to copy. The entire film is full of melodrama. The climax of the film is very poor. In the climax, the villain also makes one laugh instead of scaring. Shahrukh Khan and director Atlee's entire focus was on how to add as many action scenes and loud music as possible in the name of events. But there is no entertainment anywhere. Some serious issues have been raised by copying other films, but everyone is aware of these issues. The way these issues have been raised, the audience is not able to connect with the film. In the name of entertaining the audience, the director has served action scenes and songs, but even that does not attract. The writer and director thought of inspiring people to fight against the system by presenting the story of people crushed by the 'system'. That is why the film tells the story of farmers burdened with debt and forced to commit suicide, common people dying due to lack of facilities and oxygen in government hospitals, and soldiers losing their lives due to faulty guns. However, the audience is not able to connect with them. This is due to the lack of a writer and director.

Jawan music

Music:

The music of the film is very disappointing. The music director of the film is Anirudh Ravichander. At least they should not have messed up any classic song while remaking it. But Anirudh Ramchander has remade the song 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya.. .’ from the film 'Shree 420' released in 1955. This classic song was composed by Lata Mangeshkar, M. Rafi, and Mukesh under the direction of composer Advaita. This song remains on people's lips even after almost seventy years. But Anirudh has made the same song an ear-splitter. Not only the music but its filming is also very poor. Apart from this song, there are five songs, but not a single song became popular. Now I understand why AR Rahman had refused to arrange the music of this film. Because AR Rahman does not do such poor work?

Camerawork:

Cameraman G.K. Vishnu has shown the magic of his camera in action sequences. But he too is defeated in some scenes.

Actors' acting:

Both Vikram Singh Rathore and his young son Azad play roles in the film.

Shah Rukh Khan disappoints with his performance in Daro. Fifty-seven-year-old Shahrukh Khan can look like a 25-year-old youth by applying so much make-up. He could not show the mannerisms of a young man on screen in even a single scene with his acting. It is a pleasant feeling to see southern actor Vijay Sethupathi in the role of the film's villain Kali Gaikwad, but soon he too starts disappointing. Perhaps the basic reason for this is that he does not get help from the script. Nayantara definitely impresses in the character of Narmada. But his character was also not portrayed properly. Riddhi Dogra also leaves a mark with her acting in the role of Kaveri Amma. Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover are huge disappointments. Sanjay Dutt and Deepika Padukone are not frozen in the cameo. The casting director who has done it is missing a bit, he himself has appeared in some scenes.
