KD, an 80 year old villager overhears his children say that they want him dead to claim their inheritance. Realizing he has never truly lived, he enlists the help of a young orphan boy Kutti. The pair head off on a road trip trying to complete KD's bucket list, rediscovering the meaning of life and friendship along the way.

KD or Karuppadurrai is an aged man in his 80's, who has been lying comatose somewhere in the heartland of Tamil Nadu, India, for over three months now.  The fiercely independent Kutty encourages KD to chalk out a bucket list and start living for himself from now onwards. Thus begins an eventful road trip of this unlikely pair - an old man running away from his family and a young boy who never had one!

As KD, the actor  Mu. Ramaswamy literally lives his role, making you laugh as he laughs and cry when he rarely is sad. It is Nagavishal who scores as the witty and mischievous young lad Kutty and not only entertains the viewers but also takes them on a joy ride of emotions. Madhumita ought to be given kudos for daring to make an unconventional yet conventional emotional film weaving the theme within the milieu of the common culture , incorporating a lot of soothing songs.

Producers Vikram Mehra and Siddharth Anand Kumar have set out to make a meaningful film which also at the same entertains you as well as makes you ponder over the way the society treats its senior citizens and evolves into a exhilratingly emotional master piece. Do not miss to watch this film at any cost. I made it a point to watch this beautiful film at the recently concluded Jagran Film Festival in Mumbai when it literally floored me and transported me to a different level altogether different world.Watch it to have an enriching experience of different kind  and satiate your nerves
