The story revolves around a delusional and dysfunctional "Kanpuriya" family members , who are told of a hidden ancestral treasure in their ancestral haveli. But in the process of finding the treasure, they are able to find the true lesson of life. The comedy flick touches upon various alarming social issues, but fails to render an in-depth analysis on any of them. Designed in the mould fo a Khosla Ka Ghosla, the film revolves around a desperate Pappu Tiwari (Atul Srivastava) who resorts to selling his last piece of ancestral land to stay afloat. But, things do not go as planned and the Tiwari family is now at its wit’s end, with his late mother’s spirit threatening to thwart his plans.

The biggest problem with this comedy flick is that in an attempt to tickle the funny bone as well as drive home a subtle message, it sets out touch upon various alarming social issues like dowry harassment, and religious and spiritual fanaticism, to name a few, but does not at all succeed to render an in-depth analysis on any of the myriad problems ailing the society.

While Atul Srivastava, as the worried sick patriarch trying to make ends meet, stands out on his own merit, Neeraj Sood succeeds as his brother in law and both have their own moments in the film, though Apoorva Arora, who bears a striking resemblance to Ananya Pandey impresses with her natural acting. Vineet Kumar also renders a good account of himself in the film.

Though director Anant Tripathi does succeeds in churning out a credible satire, he is handicapped by his own writing and ends up cramming lot more characters than what the plot could have demanded and you end up watching a plot which meanders and  ends up abruptly with a lot of unintended melodrama too to boot. To sum up, the film which has a striking resemblance to films like Khosla Ka Ghosla and Aankhen Dekhi fails to appeal to you though it is a heartwarming satire because it is far too loud and is bound to suffer on account of coming up on the same day when five other Hindi films including Hacked, Kaanchli, Malang, Shikhara as well as thee Marathi films have also been released.
