By Jyothi Venkatesh Puran (Sunny Deol) is a small-time Baba Ramdev-type Ayurvedic revolutionary who cures his patients with a wonder drug that has been passed on through the ages. Pharmaceutical magnate Marfatia (Mohan Kapoor) lures him with vast sums of money, but Puran refuses to part with the formula, which offers an effective remedy for everything from infertility to impotency, from a regular cold to severe colitis. Marfatia now seeks Puran’s dim-witted brother Kaala (Bobby Deol) is more pliable. The plot is predictable. Cheeku (Kriti Kharbanda) is employed to seduce Kaala, and steal the formula for Marfatia, who promptly patents the medicine and sends Puran a notice. Puran’s irascible tenant Parmar (Dharmendra), who is a lawyer, represents Puran and Kaala in court and needless to mention, after torturing you for almost two and a half hours, all’s well that ends well. The plot is hackneyed, nonsensical and puerile. While Dharmendra hams thoroughly, Bobby Deol merely sleep walks through his role while Sunny plays to the gallery at times and remains subtle at times. Kriti Kharbanda tries hard to emote but fails miserably. It beats the hell out of me why somebody who is sane ought to act or even watch a kitschy film like this which has neither a head nor a tail. The film is nothing but cringe worthy and the presence of the three Deols isn’t able to save it from sinking Considering the fact that the though first installment, starring Dharmendra and his two sons was a hit, its sequel was released in 2013 but since it tanked at the box office, it is disastrous that the idea to take the franchise ahead came in the first place to the Deols. Thank God, the fourth part of the franchise will not come up now! For more Bollywood updates, follow Bollyy!
