Mrs & Mr Bhide - The Quaint Couple Of Gokuldham Society

Neela Tele Films’ Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has come a long way to become India’s most loved comedy TV serial and along with it, have its characters. While each character in the serial has their own persona, when the characters get clubbed as a family or a couple, the grouping spells a different kind of charm which viewers relate to. Madhavi Bhide played by Sonalika Joshi and Atmaram Bhide by Mandar Chandwadkar are one such couple in Gokuldham Society who, over the years have charmed audiences with their individual traits and also as a couple who complement each other effortlessly.

As a teacher, Master Bhide’s character is high on morals and as the society’s secretary; it is firmly grounded in principles. On the other hand, homemaker Mrs. Bhide runs a home based business that utilizes her skill as a cook. The middle class couple is parents to a young college going daughter who have brought her up with their shared virtues of discipline and enterprise.

Over the years, Mrs. Bhide with her choice of simple and elegant sarees has won the hearts of her fans. Likewise, Mr. Bhide is a stickler for wearing clothes that are comfortable and seldom does he settle for anything else but kurtas.
