Aamir Khan has been a perfectionist but has never been comfortable being called Mr perfectionist. He would rather be called a passionate actor who puts his life into every scene that he does and this has been his principle right from the time he started his career with Qayamaat SE Qayamaat Tak when he was eighteen year old - Ali Peter John

He made his debut as a child artist in his uncle Nasir Hussain's film "Yaado Ki Baarat" in which he played the younger brother , played by his real life cousin Tariq Shah . He had to play a toy guitar that he was not satisfied till his fingers moved in tune with the music of the song and his uncle , Dharmendra the hero bof the film and the entire unit clapped for him and Dharmendra even predicted a very bright future for him as an actor and Production manager named Dharam Veer quietly said , " ek din ye baccha sabka baap banega "

He was shooting for his own father Tahir Husain's film Hum Hai Rahi Pyaar ke who's official director was Mahesh Bhatt , but even before the film could take off Aamir had written his own screen play and had started directing the film and there were several times , especially during the picturisation of the songs with children that he sent the director Mahesh Bhatt home took over the direction and no one said a word , not even Mahesh Bhatt.

He became a better director with the passing of time and the making of bigger and better films and it had now become known that Aamir directed his own films , something like what was known about Dilip Kumar till the end of his career .

Aamir had even taken control of his own life . He married his child hood friend Reena Dutta who was the mother of their two children Junaid and Ira . Junaid is now all set to make his debut as a leading man in "Maharaja" a ,YRF Film to be directed by Siddharth F Malhotra , the details of which are being worked out and Ira who has been a victim of mental illnesses is working for similar cases with the active support of her father .

Reena had played a very active role in the making of Lagaan , but she separated from Aamir after years of marriage. And Aamir married his assistant Kiran Rao and they had a son who they named Azad Rao.

They were together through the making of " Lal Singh Chaddha" and created a sensation when they separated in July 2021 with Kiran taking possession of their son and their agreeing bring up their son together but without being married .

It is an arrangement that neither legal experts nor the comon man as been able to make much sense of . In the meanwhile , rumours were rife about Aamir's affair with his one time co -star Fatima Sana Shaikh , but on his birthday Aamir made it clear that he was not dating or having an affair with any woman and that after Kiran he has been single and would like to be single to make his films and guide his children.

Aamir was recently very excited after seeing Nagraj Manjule's "Jhund"
and has been hinting assosiated with Nagraj in one of his future films . And right now he is excited about the making of Companenos a Spanish comedy released in 2018 .

But as of now he has reserved all his energies for the release of "Lal Singh Chadda" which after several delays will finally be released on August 11 2023 .

And on his birthday , what came as a big surprise was what he said about his affair with the bottle ( alcohol ) .

He said he had started as a social drinker and then had graduated to be " a two pegs waala " and finally reached a stage when he could wipe of a bottle of whiskey in one sitting and that was the time when he realised that it had to be drinks or die .

And he opted for life and gave up drinking , which was a blessing for him , his family, his children and the millions of his fans . He fought a pitched battle against alcohol and one of the best examples of his fight was his hard - hitting episode on alcohol in his powerful and path - breaking series ,. " Satyameva Jayete"
