New Update

Mukul Sharma feels the title of his show Swaran Ghar is apt because the narrative highlights the story of a family who stays in this particular house filled with love and purity - Jyothi Venkatesh

While the name suggests that people residing here have hearts of gold, what happens when things go wrong is what the story is about. Mukul plays the role of Jay in this show, produced by Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta’s Dreamiyata Productions.

“I relate to my character partially to be honest. Jay is a very homely person, the same as I am in real life. At every point of the journey, he wants to support his family and do whatever he can to make things right,” he says.

The show is high on emotion and drama with regards to interpersonal relationships within the family. “This show is a roller-coaster ride of emotions. It starts with so much joy and then sudden death of the most loving character in the show changes everything.

Such things happen in real life too. We never know what can happen next. The person we love can just leave us like that,” he shares a glimpse of the narrative.

The current generations deal very differently with their parents compared to earlier times. “I think they just want to achieve their goals at any cost, it doesn't matter if they are hurting their loved ones by doing so.

Previous generation took decisions only after thinking about their family but this generation just think about themselves selfishly,” he adds. Stories that highlight parent-child relationships are an evergreen topic.

Agreeing, Mukul adds, “That is because we all face such things in our lives too. It’s beyond imagination how parents want the best for their child, their happiness at any cost, but the children often fail to reciprocate the same,” he says.

About working with Dreamiyata and the actor couple, Mukul adds, “I feel lucky to have got this opportunity to work with this team. As an actor, I am enjoying it a lot. Dreamiyata is doing well and making good content. Sargun ma’am and Ravi sir are an inspiration of course. They are working very hard and I will try my best to contribute here.”

The content of Swaran Ghar is different from other shows on TV. “Yes, it’s very different from other shows because we see modern age love in most of the ongoing dailies. But In Swaran Ghar it’s different.

This is a love story that includes issues related to family and responsibilities at the same time. We can see how people deal with their emotions when family comes in between. Love can happen any time at any age. There are no boundaries,” he ends.
