Mumu(Mumtaz) hai to mumkin hai.. BY Ali Peter John

It is something that has been puzzling me and many others like me for the last three or four weeks. Mumtaz who had left Mumbai more than 40 years ago and had come back only once or twice has been in Mumbai, now for quite sometime and has been living in her penthouse apartment on Carter road near where Rajesh Khanna once had his Bunglow, Ashirwad.

She first had a homecoming party hosted by her one time co-star dharmendra in his house, where she met him and his wife Prakash and spent the entire evening with them and even had dinner with them.

The next time she hosted dinner herself for friends like Dharmendra, Shatarughan Sinha, Danny and Reena Roy. The highlight of the party was the coming of face to face of Shatarughan Sinha and Reena after they had broken off almost 40 years ago.

And just last week a common friend called Munnu had a party of his own for Mumtaz and her husband Mayur Madhwani.

All these parties and get togethers are leading to any number of gossip sessions and rumours and the one big rumour is that Mumtaz is planning to make a comeback in films.

She is 72 years old now, but she still has a presentable face and a reasonably good body to go with her age and the last time I heard was that she may be cast with Dharmendra in "Apne 2" which is a production of the deol family.
