The music of the Punjabi film Hey Siri Ve Siri was recently launched, with the film’s lead actors Arya Babbar and Shweta Kumar in attendance. The event saw a host of big stars from the entertainment industry, with special guests Madhuri Dixit, Arbaaz Khan, and Tusshar Kapoor gracing the occasion.
Meaning Behind the Name ‘Siri’
When asked about the meaning of the word Siri in the film’s title, Avatar Singh explained that traditionally, in farming, there would be a person who would work alongside the farmer, and in return, the farmer would share a portion of the crop with them. This person was like a partner in the work. Over time, this role has transformed into that of a laborer or servant, and this is the essence of Siri in the context of the film.
Arya Babbar's Thoughts
At the event, Arya Babbar shared that for an actor, it is crucial to get a good film, and more importantly, for the film to succeed. He thanked Zee Media and the film's producers for the opportunity. Arya revealed that he had received the offer for this film while working on another project, and without hesitation, he agreed to be a part of it. He also talked about the challenges of not getting enough work at times in the film industry.
Madhuri Dixit's Praise
During the event, Madhuri Dixit addressed the gathering in Punjabi and greeted the film's cast, director, and producers with warm wishes for the success of the film. She expressed her hope that Hey Siri Ve Siri would be a blockbuster. At the same event, Kshitij Patwardhan, the dialogue writer of Singham Again, congratulated Madhuri for her role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Arbaaz Khan and Indra Kumar’s Best Wishes
Arbaaz Khan mentioned that he was quite impressed with the film's trailer and congratulated the entire cast and the production team. Tusshar Kapoor also praised the trailer, while director Indra Kumar expressed his excitement for his daughter's film, adding that he was eager to see how the audience would react to the film.
Shweta Kumar on the Film
Shweta Kumar, who plays the lead female role in Hey Siri Ve Siri, spoke about her experience working with Arya Babbar. She expressed her enthusiasm for the film and said she was very excited to be a part of it. She also mentioned how much the co-stars and the director had supported her during the filming process.
Special Performance by Amit Gupta
At the event, Amit Gupta, who lent his voice to the famous song Radhe Radhe from Dream Girl, performed the song 'Kalla Rai Gaya' from Hey Siri Ve Siri. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the performance, adding a musical touch to the evening’s celebrations.
Film Release
The film Hey Siri Ve Siri is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 22, 2024. Arya Babbar was last seen in Ready alongside Salman Khan, while this marks Shweta Kumar's debut in a Punjabi film.
