My character has become very sensible as compared to season one, says Parvati Sehgal of 'Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2'

Parvati Sehgal has reprised her role of Komal in "Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2". While she played the carefree Komal in the first season of the show, in the second season, she has become very down-to-earth and careful with her words - Jyothi Venkatesh

She said, "My character in season one and two are very different because in the first one Komal was very rude, abusive and uneducated.

In season two, she has lost her husband Aadarsh and her daughter, so she has become sensible, kind and loving, especially towards Garv.

She considers him her own child, and she is very close to him." "My character is of a widow, and she has got all these emotions some how because of the things that happened to her in the last nine years. That’s how she has changed," she added.

But Parvati is nothing like Komal in real life. Though she relates to Komal's emotional traits in the second season, she is quite different otherwise.

"I really don’t relate to her because in real life I am not like that. In season two, Komal is a very emotional person, and yes I identify with that.

But otherwise, I am a very empathetic and fun loving person, so I am not at all like Komal," she said.

When asked the kind of response she has received for her character portrayal, she said, "The feedback is that they really liked Komal from the first season a lot.

The kind of free-natured, naive and raw person she was, I think the audiences really connected very well to her, more than they do the second season Komal."

"The audience wants to see the old Komal back, and they want to see the misbehaving, rude and negative Komal.

I am hoping for it too, but I do like to portray the very soft Komal at times because then as an actor, I get to play many shades and variations while performing and it gives me immense satisfaction," Parvati signed off.
