"My love for cricket has no boundaries"- Alan Kapoor

Actor Alan Kapoor, who is the owner of BCL team Goa Killer, talks to JYOTHI VENKATESH about being part of the tournament, his vision for his team and his love for cricket.

You are the co-owner of Goa Killers for the second year.  Are you fond of cricket as a sport?

I am a total sports person and my love for cricket has no boundaries. It’s one of the most loved sport in our country.

How is the practice going?

We did start a little late but our players are working very hard and are giving their 100%.

What is your vision for the team?

My vision for the team is that they should perform well. Our team is very strong and if luck is on our side, we will surely win.

How you selected the team players?

We have selected the players based on their playing skills and temperament. Also, I have tried to include the topmost celebs of our industry because the soul of BCL is glamour + cricket, which is a very unique concept.

What you think has been highlights of your career?

The highlights of my career are innumerable, whatever I work on I always feel that it is the best thing so far.

What are your future plans?

My future plans are to balance my acting career and business as we tend to get too involved in business and miss out on our passion.

What is the best thing about Ekta Kapoor?

The best thing about Ekta ma’am is that she gets personally involved with her projects and takes them to another level. BCL is already a very successful venture but I hope Ekta ma’am takes it to all new level every coming season.

How do you unwind yourself?

Usually, I indulge in sports, but these days, I unwind by going on for late night peaceful drives. Sometimes, I just meditate, chit chat with family or friends.

Anything else you want to highlight about yourself or Goa killer.

Goa Killer started last year and we gave the audience a lot of entertainment. This year, we have taken the game to another level by getting the most popular faces in the industry to play cricket. My partner in the team, Vikas Jain from Killer Jeans has been very supportive and has always been there for Goa Killer, whenever there was a need.
