Sushant Shriram, Country Director, Prime Video India said, “We are honored and privileged to bring Dhootha to a prestigious platform like IFFI. At Prime Video, our core mission is to entertain every customer across geographies, age groups, and languages. So, we knew it was perfect for our entry into the Telugu long-format content space. He further added, “This supernatural suspense-thriller is unpredictable, intense, and extremely entertaining. Whether you are a die-hard fan of the genre or just love watching thrilling stories, with supernatural and paranormal themes, Dhootha promises to enthrall you.

Talking about his streaming debut, Naga Chaitanya Akkineni said, “I couldn't have asked for a better series than this for my streaming debut. As an actor, I watch a lot of content on OTT and always want to explore this space. The collaborative aspect of working on a series with the same characters and more extended engagement with fellow actors is interesting and refreshing. Due to the reach of Prime Video, stories from across the country and across different regions and languages are reaching a global audience, which is a great opportunity for any artist.

Talking about her decision to be a part of Dhootha, Parvathy Thiruvothu said, “I am a fan of suspense thrillers, but the decision to be a part of Dhootha was more about me choosing the script than me choosing it. Dhootha is different from anything I have done in the past and I was curious and excited to do something so unique. Vikram's approach towards not only the story but also the character makes it extremely attractive for any actor to be a part of this project. It took me 17 years to make my debut in Telugu entertainment, and I'm glad it happened with Dhootha.

Director Vikram Kumar said, “While working on the story of Dhootha I let my instincts lead me and from just a suspense-thriller, it evolved into something deeper and more meaningful, as the hero travels, so did us. While thinking and writing the characters, I knew who I wanted to see in those roles. I am equally thrilled and grateful that everything with Naga, Parvathy, Priya, and Prachi worked out the way I had hoped.

Producer Sharath Marar said, “When Vikram narrated the concept of ‘Dhootha’, we at Northstar knew that it would definitely be a milestone in Telugu cinema. His vision for this was extremely ambitious but we completely trusted his process and the real potential of a concept and story that was so nuanced and detailed. Dhootha is one of the most ambitious Telugu series ever and is the result of countless hours of preparation, dedication, and the tireless efforts of a tremendous team.

'Dhootha' is set to premiere on Prime Video on December 1 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam in India and over 240 countries and territories around the world.
