The heartening good news is that par excellence Southside regional lead actress Keerthy Suresh who has just won the National Award ( 2019) for her outstanding performance in the bilingual South regional movie ‘Mahanati’ is expected to share screen-space with Ajay Devgn in an upcoming film ( a bio-pic on a famous football coach) being directed by director Amit Sharma. Whose film ‘Badhaai Ho’ is also this year’s National Award winner. Not surprisingly, both co-producer Boney Kapoor and his director Amit are “super-delighted” that their heroine Keerthy has won such a glorious honour. Incidentally, star-actress Janhvi Kapoor ( Boney’s daughter) is a huge fan of Keerthy and shares a warm buddy-bonding with the charming Southside actress. “You more than deserved the National Award,” reacted Janhvi complimenting Keerthy. It’s a surreal coincidence that ‘Mahanati’ literally means great actress, and Keerthy has lived up to that title. The Telugu bilingual movie ‘Mahanati’ is a masterpiece biopic on legendary Southside actress Savitri's life, where Keerthy played the title-role of the actress while Dulquer Salman essayed the character of yet another Southside icon Gemini Ganesan. Interestingly, Keerthy ( who is thrilled to make her Bollywood debut) happens to be the super-talented daughter of eminent Southside producer Suresh Kumar and South regional actress Menaka.
