National Film Awards 2023: The 69th National Film Awards program has been organized at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The winners, whose names were announced earlier in September, were honored by Draupadi Murmu, President of India, honoring the best that Indian cinema has to offer in the year 2021. The Press Information Bureau broadcast the ceremony live on its social media channels.

Due to the delay due to Corona, the National Awards are running a year behind the scheduled time.

Winners include actors Allu Arjun, who won the Best Actor award for the film Pushpa: The Rise, Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon, who shared the Best Actress award for their films Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi respectively.

On Alia receiving the National Award, Soni Razdan shared the post, wrote in the caption, “Congratulations to my dear @AliaBhatt for your National Award… and it is all because of your hard work and dedication towards your art. This is truly a proud moment for all of us. Gratitude and love.”

The Kashmir Files won the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Film on National Integration at the 69th National Film Awards.
Shoojit Sircar's historical drama Sardar Udham also won many awards. Waheeda Rehman became emotional when she was announced as the recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

Waheeda Rehman said in an interview with Durshan , “I am thankful that I could reach here. Everyone be happy and keep doing whatever you want to do in life.”
