Nawazuddin Siddiqui Birthday Special: He did job as a Watchman

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, one of the most talented actors of Bollywood, is celebrating his 49th birthday on 19th May. The actor has made many struggle to reach here in his career. The story of his struggle is no less than a film.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui's purpose was to leave the house

Nawazuddin realized very early that Bollywood was the right place for him. In a conversation with 'Bloomberg', the actor revealed that when he reached Mumbai, his ultimate aim was to make it to television. He started with theater and was doing plays for four years before venturing into entertainment.

He also said that he never felt that he was any different, considering himself to be just like other theater actors, all of whom put their all into acting.

He has earned himself a huge fan following over the years through his versatile and unique roles. In the year 2016, the actor spoke to 'Bloomberg TV India' where he talked about the initial years of his career and how he went through them.

Study in Delhi, then join theater

He said that he started by completing his graduation and then studied at NSD in Delhi. He also worked in theater for four years before venturing into the industry.

Talking about the time when he made his debut in theatre, the actor recalled how he worked as a watchman and made ends meet.

He did many movies like Photograph, Rom Rom Mei, Motichoor chaknachoor, Serious Men (2020) The film 'Serious Men' was a satirical comedy film directed by Sudhir Mishra. Nawazuddin Siddiqui  played the role of an astronomer's assistant at the National Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai in the film. The film was released on 2 October 2020 on Netflix. Nawazuddin Siddiqui received the Filmfare OTT Award for Best Actor for this film as well. Film was produced by Sudhir Mishra, Bhavesh Mandalia and Sejal Shah. Motichoor Chaknachoor (2019) in the film 'Motichoor Chaknachoor', Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the role of Pushpendra Tyagi who leaves his job in Dubai and comes to India to get married. He doesn't have any particular preferences, he just somehow wants a girl whom he can marry. Apart from Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Athiya Shetty, Vibha Chhibber, Navani Parihar, Vivek Mishra, Karuna Pandey, Sanjeev Vats, Abhishek Rawat, Sapna Ret and Usha Nagar are in lead roles in this film. The film was directed by Debamitra Biswal. Made in a budget of Rs 19 crore, the box office collection of this film was just Rs 2.82 crore.
